The "Destiny and Life Choices Mentoring" and
"After School Leadership Training" programs are
both  designed to increase a student’s sense of self-worth and individuality.

We assist students in the development of essential leadership character qualities. As part of our commitment to the youth, parents and school staff we serve, ABT seeks to help our students learn to act more responsibly.

Students are encouraged to establish life goals and develop a plan of action to achieve them. The ABT program is also designed to increase parental awareness and involvement. Participants learn better ways to resolve conflicts and relationship issues, while increasing their awareness of their unique individuality and self-worth.

Participants learn necessary positive characteristics of leadership and are required to set three short-term goals and develop a plan of action to achieve them. Those participating in the ABT program have demonstrated an increase in positive
communication skills.

What makes A.B.T. different from the other mentoring programs? While most
programs are designed to address problem behaviors within distinct cultural groups, the ABT model emphasizes the individual and functions through relationships between students, teachers, parents and mentors. In this way, the program is tailored to the needs of the individual students and not merely toward the stereotype of the student’s cultural identity.
